ITPO China (Shanghai) was established in 2001 under an agreement among the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, MOFCOM of China and UNIDO, which aims to promote both inward and outward investment and technology and introduce them to other developing countries and transitional economies.
Our Mandate
Promote both inward and outward investment and technology cooperation, and to achieve an inclusive and sustainable development, by taking advantage of UNIDO global network and headquarters' resource.
Services
● Investment Promotion: ITPO China(Shanghai) provides value-added advisory services to business development organizations, local governments, and investment promotion agencies in China to promote inbound and outbound investment, and to enhance technical skills.
● Technology Transfer and Upgrade: ITPO China(Shanghai) guides potential investors from their host countries and from developing countries at each stage of the investment cycle, from project identification through appraisal to implementation and offers a full package of up-to-date information on screened and validated investment opportunities.
● Capacity Building: By organizing various study tours, trainings, global forums, and events, ITPO China(Shanghai) specifically focuses on enhancing the awareness related to SDG8, 9, and 17 at country level.

Ms. Zhao currently serves as Head of UNIDO ITPO Shanghai. She previously served as the Vice President of Shanghai Harbor City Development Group and as the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Shanghai Lingang Sci-Tech City. In her previous career, Ms. Zhao also served as General Manager of the Business Promotion Center of Shanghai Zhangjiang Group and as General Manager of Shanghai Zhangjiang Investment and Entrepreneurial Consulting Co., Ltd.
