UNIDO Day 2021

 

UNIDO Day 2021 was held through online and offline in Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center on Apr 16, 2021. UNIDO Day 2021 was hosted by United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), organized by UNIDO ITPO Shanghai, ISID Joint Institute of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai Foreign Investment Association (SHFIA), Shanghai Overseas Economics & Technology Promotion Association (SOPA), and co-organized by UNIDO Green Industrial Platform, Capital Institute of Science and Technology Development Strategy (CISTDS) and Blockchain Innovation Service Industry Committee of China Chamber of International Commerce (BISIC of CCOIC). UNIDO Day 2021 was themed on "World Industrial & Innovative Technology Cooperation (WiiTs) Step Up the Industrialization Ladder in the Post-COVID-19 Era".

UNIDO Day 2019

 

On April 19, 2019, during the 7th China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair (CSITF), UNIDO and China Council for the Pomotion of International Trade (CCPIT) jointly hosted the 2019 UNIDO Day. 2019 UNIDO Day was themed with "technology, investment and innovation - UNIDO global investment promotion network and high quality development in the Yangtze River Delta". It has made full use of UNIDO global network and high quality project resources to directly promote Yangtze River Delta economic system through the high-end industrial development dialogue, UNIDO research first launching in China and International project roadshows and matchmakings.

UNIDO Day 2018

 

To promote UNIDO and its endeavors in realizing SDG, UNIDO DAY event is held annually during CSITF. In 2018, ITPO Shanghai organized the UNIDO DAY with the theme “Belt and Road cross-border cooperation”, and its three sub-activities: Belt and Road high-level cross-border cooperation forum, “Innovative city – Industrial solution” , and “Bridge for Cities ” Shanghai road show co-hosted by Plug and Play (P&P). For the first time, the road show was synchronously broadcasted live. More than 50,000 people participated both on and off site, with the largest scale and impact over the years.

UNIDO Day 2023

 

On the morning of June 16, the UNIDO Day 2023 with the theme of "Innovative Design Empowers Sustainable Development" was successfully held at the 9th China (Shanghai) International Technology Import and Export Fair (CSIFT).The event was jointly organized by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization(UNIDO) and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and co-organized by UNIDO ITPO Shanghai, the School of Design of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and the Shanghai Foreign Investment Association. 

 

At the event, a ceremony was held to award registered projects for the first half of 2023 on the WiiTs Platform for Industrial Technology Innovation and International Cooperation. The FourC Challenge 2023, themed "ReNewal," aims to break the technological divide and disciplinary barriers by designing effective tools for transforming technology into resource-saving, sustainable community spaces and healthy community functioning to promote the well-being of people for all. The conference unveiled 12 groups of winning entries and awarded certificates and prizes to 20 winners.
